Prompted by the “Executive Innovation Roundtable” organized by the Executive Innovation Committee (EIC), the “IM Lab”—which supports the creation of an innovation ecosystem through industry-academia collaboration—has been launched. The Japan Innovation Network (JIN), a general incorporated association that serves as the secretariat for the Executive Innovation Committee (EIC), is responsible for its operation.
The “IM Lab,” a joint initiative of the Japan Innovation Network (JIN), a general incorporated association, and Tokyo University of Science that promotes the practical implementation of ecosystem strategies, held a public event titled “IM Lab Open Day” in Tokyo on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 (sponsored by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry). Approximately 120 participants from companies, universities, and government agencies attended the event. Under the theme “Promoting Educational Programs Utilizing Innovation Management Systems (IMS) Based on the ISO 56000 Series,” insights from both Japan and abroad were shared, and a panel discussion was held.
