- “For the sustainable development of Japanese society and economy, revitalization through innovation is an urgent need. In the current era of intensifying global competition and accelerating technological innovation, it is difficult for a single sector alone to solve complex social issues and create new value. Based on this recognition, the Company will establish the” “Executive Innovation Committee (EIC)” “as a forum for grass-roots, cross-sectoral discussion and practice that transcends sectoral barriers, bringing together the wisdom of industry, government agencies, academic institutions, and civil society.”
- The Committee provides a forum for cross-sectional discussions among industry, government, academia, and the public to provide a vision for the future and policy recommendations that have not existed in a clear form in Japanese society and industry. The Committee, which is formed by voluntary companies and individuals, has the following roles:
- Formulation of specific proposals for reforming Japan’s socio-economic system and support for their implementation (promotion of collaboration among industry, government, academia, and the public to promote innovation management)
- Establishment and operation of the Innovation Management Award
Through the above activities, the Japanese version of the White Paper on Innovation (provisional name) will be published.
